“It was a great experience, from start to finish. Janae was such a wonderful instructor — warm, funny, and very welcoming. I really appreciated how she started with the fundamentals, which made the class feel approachable and encouraging, especially for someone like me. I’ll be honest, I’m not very good at dancing yet, but the way the class was taught made me feel comfortable and motivated. It actually made me excited to keep learning and hopefully get better with time.”

“I loved every part of it. The studio is great, Ms. Sherri is sweet, kind, inclusive and truly cares. My biggest fear in the world of dance was not the moms or teachers, it was the mainstream culture that ingrains little girls to want thinner figures, to compare themselves and not feel loved or supported. That was all melted away after talking with Ms. Sherri. She doesn’t put any kind of pressure on the kids, not to perform well for an audience or their teacher, not to achieve a better body or be thinner to dance better. The sole focus of the program is to be an inclusive space for kids to explore dance and make friends and learn and achieve only for themselves, not for anyone else. And that is so perfect for me and more importantly for my child.”
