Class Registration

How do I choose the right class for my child?
Our schedule lists age groups next to each class. If you’re still unsure, we’ll be happy to help place your dancer in the most appropriate level.
Can we try a class before registering?
Yes! We offer a paid trial to help your child feel confident and excited. Register online on the “Get Started” page or call/text us at (732) 659-4237.
What dance styles do you offer, and what are the age-appropriate classes for my child?
Preschool Dance Combos Ballet/Tap, Hip-Hop/Tumbling, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe.

What are the Qualifications of the Instructors?
We belong to the Honor Society Of Dance Arts, National Dance Education Organization, Acrobatic Arts, American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, Discover Dance, Twinkle Star Preschool Curriculum, Progressive Ballet Technique, Dancer Fitness.
What is the class size and student-to-teacher ratio?
Our classes vary in class size depending on the room that the class is held in. The smaller room will hold 6-9 (depending on the age) and the larger room will hold 10-20. The experienced teaching staff does an excellent job inspiring students and teaches them dance classroom etiquette as they progress in the annual program. Some younger class will have assistants to make sure the class moves along effortlessly.
Do you have a structured curriculum or progression plan?
American Dance Studios has 5 Star proven strategy of dance education that guarantees progression thru each discipline. Quarterly exams and pin awards keep dancers on track and excited to progress. The 5 star process includes technique, vocabulary, musicality, artistry, and performance. We have a “Rise Graduation Award Ceremony” every year to evaluate each dancer and move them up thru the dance levels.
What is the annual schedule, and are there performances or recitals?
We do a winter performance and a summer performance. This gives the student a wonderful experience to look forward to after studying so hard every semester. Costumes are about $120 per class hour. Tickets for the Venue averages about $35 per seat.
What are the safety measures and facilities are in place?
American Dance Studios have clear policies on emergencies and injuries in place.
What is the studio culture like?
American Dance Studios prides itself on the warm family atmosphere that is diverse and inclusive. We encourage culture sharing events and friendship parties that make wonderful memories for our families. Parent appreciation events and “ADS Star Club” Parties connect students young and old so friendship blossom and memories are made.

Class Etiquette

Are uniforms required?
Yes! Uniforms are mandatory. They help our teachers see your dancer’s alignment and form clearly, allowing for safe corrections and technical improvement. Hair should also be worn up and off the face to support clean movement.
How do we purchase the uniform and dance shoes?
Once registered, you can purchase everything your dancer needs such as leotards, tights, ballet slippers, tap shoes, and hip-hop sneakers. Available in-studio or online via our partner store: Shop Nimbly
What if we go on vacation or miss class?
No problem! We offer multiple ways to stay on track: 1. Access our studio app for choreography and technique videos 2. Use our online classroom to follow along from anywhere 3. Watch recaps and review corrections from class 4. Make-up classes may also be available
